For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology: FIRST Robotics is an example of an extracurricular enterprise that exercises and entertains the minds of millions of high school students world-wide. 

     Between 1992 and now, the FIRST of the year has meant more than the dawn of a new year, it has meant a new game and a new chance to compete with peers in a challenging and electrifying environment. From the beginning of January to the middle of February, students work nearly every day before school, after school, weekends, and any other times that are available to build, wire, program, and test a five foot tall 120 lb machine. 

     On the cutting edge, FIRST Embraces Technology like no other high school engineering program out there. During the six weeks of build season, students are given the opportunity of a lifetime to Educate themselves and others in a professional environment. With teams from all over the earth, FIRST is helping to Empower the World by providing thousands with the resources to make something of themselves on a macrocosmic scale.
